Description
Antioxidant-packed no-bake treats that are berry delicious and incredibly healthy for your furry friend!
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Chill Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Makes: 15-18 balls

Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh blueberries (completely safe for dogs and loaded with antioxidants)
- 1 cup rolled oats (not instant—regular oats work best)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut (for coating—safe in moderation)
Instructions
- In a food processor, blend blueberries until completely smooth and gorgeously purple—Amber starts getting excited at this point.
- In a large bowl, mix the blueberry puree with oats and water until it forms a workable dough that smells amazing.
- Using slightly damp hands, roll the mixture into golf ball-sized portions (if your pup can wait that long).
- Roll each ball in shredded coconut until completely coated—they look like little snowballs with purple centers.
- Place on a baking sheet and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes until firm.
- Serve and watch your dog’s reaction—always supervise with new treats.
Notes:
- Use slightly damp hands when rolling to prevent sticking
- These work best when the blueberries are completely smooth after processing
- Amber prefers these well-chilled, but they’re delicious at room temperature too
Storage Tips:
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week in airtight containers
- Don’t leave these out—fresh fruit treats need refrigeration
- They can be frozen for up to 1 month for longer storage
What Makes This Recipe Special:
Fresh blueberries provide powerful antioxidants for immune support while oats deliver fiber for digestive health. The no-bake method preserves all the natural vitamins and creates treats that taste like nature’s candy—way better than artificial fruit flavors in commercial treats!
Mix It Up (Dog-Safe Variations):
- Probiotic Boost: Add 1 tbsp plain Greek yogurt for digestive support (great for sensitive tummies)
- Frozen Summer Treat: Make extra-large and freeze for cooling relief on hot days
- Spiced Version: Add a pinch of cinnamon for warming fall flavors (completely safe for dogs)
